1. Drill out existing hole to 3/8" x 3/16" deep. A drill press is not necessary. You can see where the bit in the drill press "walked". I wound up clamping the assembly in a vise with padded jaws and used a hand held drill.

2. Using a bench grinder or Dremel tool, grind a 10-32 nut to about round to fit in the new hole. Do this slowly and carefully and keep testing the fit until it's snug.
3. Apply Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy to the bottom and sides of the hole using a toothpick. Be neat.
4. Seat nut in hole and make sure it's flush with head assembly. Clean out all the epoxy you can from the threads using a toothpick.
5. Spray a 1" 10-32 machine screw with silicone and thread into nut. Remove bolt, clean off epoxy, spray again with silicone and rethread into nut. Check to be sure the bolt is straight upright.
7. Allow the 5 Minute Epoxy to cure for at least 12 hours. Then, use 1/2" 10-32 hex cap machine screws and lockwashers to remount the head assembly.
6. After about 1 hour, carefully remove the 1" screw.
